Cheap places to live in the world with $ 500 per month

On the website Open Travel published an interesting article on places in the
world could live with $ 500 a month without too much trouble. With fear of
contradiction, claim that in many Latin American countries could live happily
with the figure quoted. The criterion on the list, has been to choose between
duty and also exotic paradise, especially in the opposite hemisphere and
tropical destinations.

Of course I think about cheap places to live, can be relative when many of those
named below, local residents do not reach nor come close to $ 500 a month, which
is why what for many would be cheap, for others it would be quite expensive.
Favorable currency exchange involved, the list of cheap places to live is as
follows:

Thailand: exotic beaches, sun and good food affordable permanent may not sound
bad to anyone. In Thailand, we can achieve real surprises in terms of tariffs,
such as renting rooms for about $ 90 a month in places near the coast, or to
taste typical dishes at food stands for less than $ 1.

Cambodia: although the country has its negative side accentuated poverty, the
cost of living to live in cities like the capital, Phnom Penh can be up to
ridicule: about $ 500 is enough to rent a shared apartment, and buy food to an
average dollar and a half per meal.

Philippines: coming out of big cities like Manila in the Philippines can move
to Cebu, a province where numerous beaches, golf courses and shops where you can
rent an apartment for $ 150 a month.

Costa Rica: live in the country, can be a pleasure. The country with more
spaces protected by an inhabitant of the planet is a paradise where nothing is
too expensive, if we are willing to share house or apartment moving away from
San Jose, the capital. For about $ 250 we will have to sleep in, and
restaurants, a plate of food does not rise above the average $ 4.

su5Belize: considered one of the most beautiful countries in Central America,
Belize has it all in terms of nature, and also a good price. With prices similar
to Costa Rica, a car on the outskirts of Belize City averages $ 300.

I think to add in the list of countries affordable for $ 500 a month, Argentina,
Uruguay, Brazil, Peru and nearly all Latin America, as well as most African
countries. Any thoughts to add? We must be attentive to prices (CPI 2010).
