Free travel is possible! You were talking about free housing, now let’s see
other ways of taking care of our pockets. That if, is required much planning,
many predisposing and win, and also needed some information. Here I will comment
on my two favorite websites about it. Both are updated and are quite useful tips
and information for travelers on a budget too tight.

To begin the site sindinero.org has varied resources for precisely those
traveling without money. The idea is to bring together their creators a lot of
information that sometimes goes dispersed and can help us plan our trip
otherwise, although many also have resources for everyone and not just for
travelers. The site also has a social network that allows to learn and share
experiences with others.

The free travel section contains information about accommodation, transport and
general. There you can find travel guides free (in. Pdf), free activities,
messages from people looking for travel companions and other online resources.
There is also a free departures section especially in Madrid and Barcelona.

The other site that I find very useful is rataTravel.es. Rat refers to those who
travel by reducing all costs.

On this site you can find tips for saving on accommodation, news and offers news
and recommendations for cheap places to visit. It is also interesting the
proposal of books and reading about travel.

These are just two options among my favorites to think about traveling with
little money or even free! New ideas to the crisis.

Travel informed

This is essential! A good travel guide will be an indispensable tool to maximize
the advantages of the place we visit. The information flows ever more on the web
and is of better quality and greater detail (as you can see here on the farm),
but we were hard to find a computer in the middle of the desert. The guidelines
contain a significant amount of practical information on hotels, restaurants and
outlets and are published almost every year, so they are fairly current.

But choosing a guide is a real issue. There are guide books for all tastes. The
more generic that appear to meet all the passengers are the Lonely Planet. But
then depends on the type of trip that we can choose a guide to restaurants and
hotels 5 stars luxury or modest guide for backpackers.

As mentioned, Internet is an important tool for organizing our trip. Beyond the
practical information on lodging, restaurants, excursions, walks, schedules,
transportation and a thousand other things, we can find experiences and
comments, recommendations from other travelers and interesting ideas. (I can see
here in Locuraviajes!)

We can also inform consulates, specialized libraries, travel literature, diaries
and asking friends and family.

We will continue with advice and recommendations to travel without risk of
illness. We talked about what to do before leaving, and vaccines that should
include a first aid kit (see previous article here).

We have already seen in Locuraviajes the option of making a diet tank. But
sometimes it’s hard to stay isolated from the traditions of the place we
visited, especially when we’re traveling backpackers or when we stayed with
locals. It is important to maintain a balanced diet while traveling, eating
vegetables, meats, dairy and plenty of water. When we travel we do much more
exercise than we realize, we walk, we went out walking all day, even more
travelers to the finger, spent many hours in the sun or in very cold places: our
body expends more energy and need to recover. Image elminuto

Those unable to maintain such a diet should include more protein (beans,
lentils), fruits provide vitamins that are stripped and it is important to
maintain a good intake of grains and cereals.

Water is another important factor, is necessary and always making sure to
consume plenty of it is potable (usually enough to boil water if we do not have
time or ability to heat water is to carry water purification tablets). It is
very likely that if we are not careful with the water end up with a box of
diarrhea.

To avoid dehydration box can pay attention to details such as: lack of
urination, dark urine and lack of sweating when doing physical activity. We also
pay attention to body temperature, pulse and respiratory rate for outside the
normal range are indicative of disease.

When faced with an illness or go to a doctor for help among the locals, in an
embassy or hotel.

This article is the third of our advice on the precautions to be taken into
account before starting and how to avoid falling ill while traveling. Now let’s
talk about a number of environmental risks to which we can face during our trip.
Some ideas to prevent or treat them.

When we travel in regions over 3,000 meters high are we exposed to altitude
syndrome, known in South America as "altitude sickness". The lowest proportion
of oxygen in the atmosphere causes headaches, nausea, shortness of breath,
physical weakness. Each person reacts differently to the effects of height, so
there is no general solution. What you can do is make a series of preventive
measures: do not smoke, drink alcohol and eat light. It is also going slow to
adapt to the altitude, being able to make several stops, taking an aspirin or
herbal tea (in the Andean region are achieved chewing coca leaves or special
teas). In most cases the symptoms disappear when the body gets used, if they
persist will be necessary to undertake the descent because the consequences can
be very serious, but fatal.

Traveling in hot or hotter during the season we are exposed to the sun. To avoid
this condition is necessary to use a cap with a visor, sunglasses and sunscreen.
It is essential to drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. You can use
creams containing aloe vera to treat burns.

In very cold areas hypothermia is a serious danger. Precautions must be taken
with care: first it is best to travel in pairs and not, especially if we are on
the mountain. There are adequate clothing that can prevent the terrible
combination of cold, wet clothes and wind. You should always have food
containing sugars and try to keep moving. Symptoms include tiredness, sleeping
members, violence and muscle pain. Image magnusvyt

We can also become victims of heat stroke, namely the regulator of the
temperature of our body decompensation. Feel dizziness, fever, no sweating. It
is possible that the person to finish delirious and confused. Medical attention
is required in severe cases.

Finally there are many people who feel sick while traveling in boat, car or
plane. It is best to eat light before you go and in severe cases take a
antivomitivo. The location of our chair is too important (at the end of the bus
feel the movement, for example). It is also advisable not to read, drink fluids
and avoid smoking.

Well, maybe not completely lost. The west bank of the Nile in Luxor, Egypt,
can be accessed from an alternate form. A footpath crosses the desert and comes
to the different priorities of the visit, allowing us to walk or bike ride from
the Valley of the Kings to the Temple of Hatchepsout, the Ramesseum and the
Valley of the Queens.

The site of the west shore of the Nile is widespread and places to visit are
distant from each other. is therefore necessary to consider how we want to move
and choose a mode of transportation. In all, to see everything, will be about 30
or 40 miles. Therefore what are the options?

The traditional options and perhaps more comfortable to go with an organized
tour from the hotel. In general we take on a combination of sites and will have
a guide. Prices in this case will depend on who organizes the tour.

But there are varied options for those who enjoy more adventurous or create
their own plans. For these travelers the ideal is to take a taxi, either from
Luxor, either on the west shore (after crossing by boat or felucca). From there
we can arrange more visits as we please. If you only have one day the taxi is
the best choice: we can visit the most interesting places and if we are bold and
we intend to fully exploit this day, perhaps some less touristy places (such as
Medinat Habou).

You were talking of different options for visiting the western shore of the
Nile in front of Luxor. There they rest ancient pharaohs and temples were
erected and powerful even integers whose walls were passing millennia. Here you
find all the fascinating mysteries of Egypt.

Other options for the brave …

In winter the best option is to rent a bike, across the Nile and visit the sites
by bicycle. Clearly we will need two days to make the visit. Good advice: rent a
pickup deck where come to 4 people with 4 bikes to take them to the Valley of
the Kings (which is the farthest site). The return to visit the other monuments
is declining. That yes, summer is not a good idea.

The tour can also be done on the back of a horse, donkey or camel. Although it
is a scenic option is not really comfortable or cool.

There are also taxis that go from one place to another and that can be mounted
by a ridiculously low price (it should be some discussion to get the local
rate). Note that not go to the Valley of the Kings, which is the longest road.
to go there will need to take other transportation.

Finally we can think about doing the walk. Ideally, take a taxi to the Valley of
the Kings and from there to the rest of the journey on foot. Will require a map
of the trails that connect the various sites and do not forget to take plenty of
water, sunglasses and sunscreen. We must be careful in summer, especially in the
hottest hours and we should not overestimate the sense of direction and
strength. That’s right: the view is fabulous.

Many people who travel to China usually walk (normally) four main
destinations. They are Beijing, capital of the country, Xi’an, the city that
houses the terracotta soldiers, Shanghai, the metropolis of Eastern and Hong
Kong, a city east to west in taste.

All these places are really fantastic, but certainly there are many more, since
China is a vast country and has a wide range of options. Sometimes these places
are ignored for lack of knowledge, little known tourist or simply a lack of
time. So we will leave here a practical guide to know what to visit in China:
what cities, what places and how long they should stay in each one so that when
traveling to this country to choose destinations that attract you.

AN IMPERIAL CITY

No doubt China is characterized by its long list of dynasties that ruled the
country, leaving heavy footprints throughout its history. This is especially
famous in the capital, Beijing (Peking) which is formed by a long list of
architectural elements from the old dynastic influences.

Another city that, while not as popular as the great Beijing, not far behind, as
this has been the capital of the empire seven times throughout its history, is
Nanjing (also known as Nanking), located to the east the country, fairly close
to Shanghai. This city is the second largest in the region (a little smaller
than Shanghai) and is composed of a large number of architectural features of
great value. The only disadvantage is that it has has a good transport
infrastructure, so that mobilize tremendous city becomes a bit chaotic. Anyway,
is a very recommendable.

We all face the moment of putting the suitcase when we travel. May be delayed

To begin we must consider the weather. The season and the potential for it to be
hot or cold, or rain or snow, vain define what part of the closet we put in our
suitcases. If we go to places rainy, an umbrella or pilot is a good idea. If the
place to which we turn cold or snow, a pair of wool socks and warm sweaters are
essential. Will be much easier to organize with warm climates, summer travel is
easier because we can reduce the volume of clothes to load.

But there are other supplements that we will have depending on the weather. If
we go to the snow will be a good idea special lenses and accessories such as
hat, scarf and gloves. If we go to the beach a good sunscreen, sunglasses,
towels and after-sun lotions wud be necessary.

A cosmopolitan city
China not only is composed of large immaculate temples crumbling roofs and white
buildings in time. It also shows the modern side, especially in cities are more
influenced by globalization. This certainly does not stop being a major tourist
attraction, especially for those who like urban tourism.

Among the most modern cities are Beijing presenting its new face, with
emblematic buildings of the Olympic Games, such as the Bird’s Nest (Olympic
Stadium) and Water Cube (aquatic test). You can also appreciate the new National
Theater (a modern steel structure which is reflected in a glass of water) and
the new CCTV headquarters recently completed.

Another option is unstoppable Shanghai, Pudong area featuring its collection of
buildings that climb into the air trying to reach greater heights, as the iconic
antenna Pearl of the Orient, the curious Jin Mao Tower, or the modern World
Financial Center. Next year may see a supposedly Pudong New Colossus will be
surpassing the heights of the latter. Nor can we forget that Shanghai will host
the World Expo 2010, so that from April of that year will be presenting a large
assembly, hoping to host millions of tourists.

Hong Kong for its part, is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world,
being the main destination par excellence of many businessmen and tourists who
come to admire the beauty of modern architecture. There you can see skyscrapers
like the Bank of China Tower emblematic of the ’90s or the Two International
Finance Center, the tallest building in the region, designed by César Pelli
Argentine. The scenery just pure buildings be equipped with presenting a show of
lights and colors at night. The only disadvantage of this place is that it is
significantly more expensive of the three options.
