Lost in the Desert

Author: admin | Files under Travel Advice, Travel Learning

Well, maybe not completely lost. The west bank of the Nile in Luxor, Egypt, can be accessed from an alternate form. A footpath crosses the desert and comes to the different priorities of the visit, allowing us to walk or bike ride from the Valley of the Kings to the Temple of Hatchepsout, the Ramesseum and the Valley of the Queens.

The site of the west shore of the Nile is widespread and places to visit are distant from each other. is therefore necessary to consider how we want to move and choose a mode of transportation. In all, to see everything, will be about 30 or 40 miles. Therefore what are the options?

The traditional options and perhaps more comfortable to go with

an organized tour from the hotel. In general we take on a combination of sites and will have a guide. Prices in this case will depend on who organizes the tour.

For these travelers the ideal is to take a taxi, either from Luxor, either on the west shore (after crossing by boat or felucca). From there we can arrange more visits as we please. If you only have one day the taxi is the best choice: we can visit the most interesting places and if we are bold and we intend to fully exploit this day, perhaps some less touristy places (such as Medinat Habou).
