Spend one day in Rome is crazy. But it is also an excellent excuse to return
because no one can visit this city and not end up loving her. There are some
things we can not do if we have a day in Rome. These include visiting the Roman
Forum is a must.
Imperial fora were attached to each other through the years passed. In the Way
of the Imperial Forums, we passed the remains of the Forum of Nerva, Trajan and
Cesar. Today there remain only some columns and arches that survive as the last
bastions in the midst of a city that bustles with the rhythm of the century.
The historical role of
the forum is well documented: functioned as social
centers of the city. There was organized and decided the commercial, religious
and administrative Rome.
A visit to the ruins of the Roman Forum is a good plan if you only have 24 hours in the Italian capital. The huge property is located in the center of the city and is easily accessible. Here we tour the ruins and admire the mosaic floors that have transgressed the destructive passage of time and see the structures of medieval houses. The forum was discovered in the sixteenth century, although it recently excavated the last century. Apparently it was always known of its existence but the space it occupied had been working as a garbage dump and had built houses there during the medieval period.
To visit the Forum are to enter through the door that is opposite the Colosseum.
Admission is free to the public.
