art1201Since 1992 the historic city core is included in the list of World Cultural and Natural Patromonio of Unesco and is one of 9 cities to which the European Union awarded him the title of Metropolis of Culture 2000. But Prague, the Czech capital, is much more than this.

City of Stories

Getting to Prague is the feeling that time stopped. It has a different melancholy and mystery that makes it different. It is a story and a meeting of styles, Baroque, Renaissance, Gothic, Rococo and Art Nouveau.

The architectural contrasts give it an active art in the city. It is admirable as were able to relate these styles with

elegance, and deep sense of color and perspective.

City of Kafka

Franz Kafka once rented a room here to write his best works. Today you can visit. This is a small house lined up next to paved and painted dark gray. It is located on the street of the alchemists where Emperor Rudolf staying at the scientists would find the philosopher's stone that would turn base metals into gold. Also there is the astrológico.y watch the great central square where opposition nobles were executed

City of sadness and saints

This special Czech town has, like many other cities, a Jewish neighborhood, but different to everyone. Josejov, is a district board and a distressing past this modern and full of well-being. The big fashion houses are in the first blocks of this area.

There is a cemetery where a lack of capacity have been made vertical and three ancient tombs synagogues. In one of them, Klausen, there are also testimonials and pictures of kids made during the Holocaust.

On the other side of town, Charles Bridge invites you to visit the thirty statues of saints. It was opened in 1357 and is traveled by thousands of visitors annually who kneel before the images and place their orders and acknowledgments. Together with Prague Castle, a monumental construction of offices, palaces and fortifications in the last quarter of the ninth century which occupies 45 hectares and since 1918 is the presidential headquarters, are postcards, souvenirs, that one must take.

City contradictory

Prague is dressed desire, effort, but also mysteries. People are shy, spoke little, folds inward. Typical characteristic of the inhabitants of central Europe that have suffered from wars and invasions. The light comes and goes. The winters are long and cold and summers are so hot to walk the streets is almost impossible. Old and modern living like tourists with the locals. So much beauty and so much ambiguity make Prague one of the most interesting cities and deep feelings to go. And to believe in a fairy.
